In this assignment we were told to create a pop art of ourselves as you can see above, this is mine. This was a great way to get to experience photoshop and get a feel for all the adjustments we can make to pictures. This was a fun assignment, I can't wait to do different cool edits to other pictures I will take in the future.
For my first photo shooting assignment I have chosen to focus on people. My hopes for doing people is to really let my photos tell story and explain for themselves the mood or emotions the person or people are feeling. Some photos I've found online that I will use as inspiration are.. I choose these pictures out of multiple because I feel like I can get so much out of only one picture, they tell a story. The first one is different from the last two because its not just a portrait it shows more background or scenery then the last two. This week I'm gonna try and take pictures of either my twin or my best friend and show how there such happy, kind people.
These four pictures are showing the difference in shutter speed, as you can tell we start out with a high shutter speed and then end with a lower shutter speed creating a sharper affect. In the first photo my shutter speed was 1/20 creating a whiter, blurrier picture compared to my last picture with the speed of 1/800 creating a cleaner picture. These four pictures are showing the difference in aperture, the smaller the aperture the more light is let into the camera. In these pictures above its hard to see the difference because it was taken off a point and shoot camera. In these pictures the first one was taken at an aperture of 1/250 which should make the background look a little fuzzy compared to the last one which has an aperture of 1/1250 which is allowing very little light into the camera creating a greater depth of field. What I learned from doing this assignment is figuring out what aperture and shutter is and how to use it to make my pictures better. Now I know that shutter involves motion and aperture involves how much light enters the camera.
The composition assignment was a way for the students to explore and get the feel of the camera while looking out for specific points. The points we were assigned to look for were depth, lines, patterns, rule of thirds, symmetry, texture, balance, colors, framing, perspective, and space.
What I have learned from taking these pictures....
This experience from taking these pictures is really eye opening to me to see all the different kinds of pictures you can take. Theres a lot more skill that goes into photography then I ever imagined. Whenever I look at my snapshot photos I've took I see how bad they actually are compared to what a quality picture should look like. I AM HANNAH BLANEY I HAVE TWO SISTERS ONE OF WHICH IS MY TWIN, I ALSO HAVE A MOM, A DAD, AND A DOG. I AM VERY COMMITTED TO VOLLEYBALL RIGHT NOW I AM ON THE SALINE JVS TEAM AND I ALSO PLAY AT A CLUB CALLED TEAM DETROIT. MY FAVORITE SEASON IS FALL BECAUSE I LOVE THE FEELS OF LEAVES FALLING, HOT CHOCOLATE, WARMING UP AT A FIRE, AND GOING TO CIDER MILLS. I CHOOSE TO TAKE THIS CLASS BECAUSE I NEEDED TECHNOLOGY CREDITS TO PASS HIGH SCHOOL. ALSO BECAUSE HALEY BLANEY, MY OLDER SISTER LOVES THE CRITERIA AND THE TEACHERS IN DIGITAL CLASSES. LASTLY I CHOOSE THIS CLASS BECAUSE MY SISTERS ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME TO TAKE PICTURES OF THEM AND I THOUGHT THIS CLASS WOULD HEP TEACH ME HOW TO TAKE A QUALITY PICTURE OF THEM.
